In tonights The Rookie episode begins where the last one ended, Nolan is at lunch with Bailey, when her husband walks up, Nolan is in shock. Her husband says he was in prison for two years, he got out on good behaviour. The guy leave and Nolan is in shock, he can’t believe that Bailey didn’t tell him; she gets up and she leaves quickly. Later, Harper is with Nolan, she tells him to run the guy to check him out.
Bradford is making breakfast for his dog, Ashley slept over and his dog Kojo starts barking when he sees her.
Wesley is suspended for breaching client confidentiality, and it will be on his record for the rest of his career.
Bailey can’t believe that her husband (Jason) got out for good behaviour, she tells her colleague, Rice, that he is insane. Bailey gets a fraud alert, someone charges two thousand dollars on her credit card and she knows it is Jason.
Chen is on patrol with Bradford and they are in pursuit of a guy when they see a plane crash. Nolan and Harper also see the crash and run to help. Bradford checks on the pilot and there isn’t any one. Harper dusts the pilot seat and area for prints while Nolan finds a bag filled with gold bars. Harper says the prints match an inmate, Levi Lincoln, at the California Correction facility.
Bradford goes to call the warden, Levi Lincoln is still in the prison – the team is wondering how the heck his prints got inside the plane then. Bailey is also on the scene, she tells Nolan that she knows he is angry, she tried to divorce Jason but he wouldn’t. Nolan says he is upset that she wasn’t honest enough to tell him something this important, he walks away.
Bailey calls Jason to the fire station, she tells him that she wants a divorce. Rice is nearby, she is listening in. Jason says he is there because he wants her to be happy. In his hand he has an envelope, it has divorce papers, he leaves.
Nolan and Harper go to the prison to see Levi Lincoln, they tell him about the plane crash. Turns out the guy is no Levi Lincoln, he had plastic surgery and that means someone in the prison had to help him and Levi pull this off. Oscar Hutchinson is the inmate who was pretending to be Levi, he says the warden was involved.
Chen and Bradford head to one of Lincoln’s property, the maid who answers has scratches on her arm, she whisper that he is in the backyard. They head out there and shots are fired, Lincoln gets away.
Chen gets a call from Ashley, she tells her that the dog makes her super nervous. Chen says that Kojo is a nice dog.
Bailey goes to leave work and her car doesn’t start, she calls Nolan and tells her it’s been a day, she wants to sit down and talk, explain. He says he can’t do it now, she broke his heart a little. She says she would do anything to take it back, he says he will call her.
Wesley arrives home, he is with James and they are both drunk. They sit on the couch and Wesley says he is going to spend more time with Jack.
Chen tells Bradford about Ashely calling her regarding Kojo.
Oscar calls Nolan from a contraband cell phone, he says he found out some information about Jason. But first, he wants a letter to help him change prisons for his safety in return. Oscar tells him that Jason is a cold blooded manipulator. Meanwhile, Bailey is home and she hears someone in her apartment, she grab a baseball bat and starts to look around. When she gets to her bedroom she sees her wedding album on her bed.
The next day, Bailey goes to see Jason and tells him that she doesn’t like that he was in her house, he denies it. She tells him that he abused her and gaslighted her, when she left she was in pieces and rebuilt her life. And, if he pushes her, she will push back harder. She tells him to stay away from her forever and walks away.
Nolan and Harper get a call, a woman made a 911 call, Levi Lincoln forced her to transfer money to his account in the Cayman Islands. Nolan and Harper head to the airport, thinking Levi is going to flee and they are right, he is there. Shots are fired, they have Levi cornered in a hanger. Chen and Bradford are there to help and Levi is caught.
Bailey is in her car driving when she is pulled over, she is told to get out of her vehicle. The police look in the vehicle and there are bags of drugs on the back seat. At the station, Bailey tells Nolan that Jason set her up, she should have seen this coming, she stood up to him and now he is taking her career. The amount of cocaine they found in her car, they are going to charge her with a felony. He tells her that he is going to take care of it, he loves her, and nobody is going to screw with her and get away with it.
At home, Kojo is still barking at Ashley, he shows her how to tell Kojo to sit and give him a treat, she wins him over.
Nolan goes to see Jason, he confronts him about what he did. Jason says it is consequences for her actions. Nolan tells him that his time is over, he knows he is now and he is coming for him.
